New idea - but not sure where to start?

O.K. I know this has already been done, but I'm just using this as a "generic" example to get some answers. Hopefully you will be able to follow me
Say I have golf balls and I want to place a logo on it. The logo being a college\professional football team. After doing so, sell them to companies who have websites like this http://www.collegegear.com/schools/1317.shtml.
So, the problem I'm facing is: 1) I don't manufacure golf balls and 2) I don't have the printing equipment to place the logo on the golf ball.
Now, keep in mind that the golf ball idea has already been done, but I have an idea of placing a college logo on a specific item that is found in most homes, apartments, and dorms.
Where do I start? I've already done the research on trying to find if something like this is already being sold and it's not. I've talked to certian people and they all said it was a good idea and that they would probably sell, especially to college kids for their dorm or anyone who is a fanatic about their sports team.
I have the concept\idea, I just don't know where to start?

Contact a manufacturer of golf balls, and see if they are willing to do custom or corporate logo's for a price. Tell them that they will have exclusive advertising on all of the golf balls that you will be selling/distributing. This ought to get their attention. Don't say anything about the logo's till they give you a price.

What is the specific item, if you can tell?
Otherwise, any team logos college or prof. will have to be licensed through their prospective trademark owners, ie. nfl etc... Licensing is not cheap and they will have to approve the item. Their are tradeshows which specifically deal with licensing. I cannot think of it off hand but try doing a google search.

Why are you asking this question again??? You just asked the same question the other day and it was answered. Why don't you try doing a little research into that for starters?

Now you're asking the same question in a new thread.

    Licenseing - need information

Quit wasting people's time, and go play somewhere else.

First of all, the thread that you're refering to was about LICENSING. This current thread is aimed towards after I get the license, how to get the logo printed onto the product, and even how to get the product since I don't manufacure it.

SECOND: THIS IS WHAT YOU HAD POSTED IN JUNE AND YOUR TELLING ME TO STOP WASTING PEOPLE'S TIME?

You won't even tell us what you want to print on. How the hell are we supposed to help you find the items and tell you how to print on them.

You're retarded. Don't quit your job at Burger King.

Get a life???? If it was not for me, you would not even know where to get your licensing you little disrepectful tick turd. I could help you find your product and tell how to get printing and where to find distrubutors of collegiate products. But since I need to get a life, I won't. Oh, and by the way, my friend owns a distrubutorship and makes almost $300K a year just from the sales of Univesity of Texas merchandise. I could of helped you get your foot in the door. But I aint gonna help you do shit. You're a disrepectfull little shit head.

You just lipped off to the wrong person. Have fun with your struggle!

I make six figures a year and just bought a Lamborghini two weeks ago. What do you have?

So let me get this straight.......the success of my idea was 100% absolutly - without a doubt, dependent on you helping me "get my foot in the door" and now that YOU'RE not going to help me I'm going "struggle" and be a failure,
If that's not for a good laugh I'm not sure what is

and another thing.....everyone has anything they want in a make-believe world (a.k.a the internet) so when you say you make six figures and just bought a Lamborghini, well so did I!

My point is, you're in here begging for help. I could of given you my friends phone number who's doing exactly what you want to do. He's been there, done that and is making damn good money, so he obviously knows what he's doing. With one phone call, he could of helped you from licensing to distribution.

If you're serious, I could of hooked you up with him and there's the potential you could be making serious money this time next year, but you chose to be a smart ass and burn bridges. So now it's back to begging for you.

Given you can't even figure out how to get licensing, you're not doing well and need all the help you can get.

Now go get back to begging kid.

Yeah, burning bridges isn't always great, buy why down someone for asking questions? Isn't that what these forums are for? Anyway, hope you can figure out what to do with licensing, and let us know whether you'll continue with this plan or switch to something else...

Do you even realize the name of this website is www.youngentrepreneur.com
Do you also realize that every time you degrade and slander and make a rude comment about young people and making fun of "being a kid" your offending a lot of people on this forum?
You don't sound to bright..........anyways I'm done going back and forth with you. Have fun with your new car.

Back on track, Once you find a manufactuer you won't have any problems getting any logo on the product the issues will be in getting the licenceing. And the hardest part will be telling them your idea with out them going out and doing it, remember to use non disclosure aggrements
