It's in the early stages, but I just wanted to get your opinion on an idea that I've been thinking about. From my experience, start-ups usually contact blogs either by emailing them, or having a PR person send out a release. Blogs usually get the scoop on a story either by tips, by visiting the company's blog, or by reading the story on a 3rd party site.
This web service attempts to make this process easier. It would allow companies to "reverse feed" their stories to the various blogs related to them by selecting categories and uploading the story. These stories would be sent to blogger accounts on the service, where they would essentially pick and choose which stories to blog about. The company would know instantly through the web service when and where their story was published.
The value to companies? No need to send emails en mass and view whether or not their story was published on the blogs. They would also push their story to blogs in the category they don't even know about. The value to blogs is that it makes it easier to sort through the stories and get them straight from the source.
Thanks all for your help, any advice is appreciated.
