Lightbulb New here at YE...Looking for feedback and ideas

hello i just discovered this forum the other day and have been reading posts and i think its great that there is a forum dedicated to this and it just happens to suit my needs which is great...i look forward to posting often to this site because i can see the great help other members share with fellow entrepreneurs...i have a few ideas that i would like to consider and or pursue in my business adventures....I find myself on the computer and internet a lot and i would like to set up a company that could be highly profitable....i had an idea of internet marketing via myspace...i find myself on myspace a lot and have seen companies beginning to set up business profiles on myspace for products geared to a younger audience i would want to offer a service to companies that are wanting a myspace profile and i would be in charge of setting up, maintaining, promoting, and adding friends to the companies profile. Problem is i dont know where to find companies that would be interested such as start up companies needing to be marketed etc. please share your thoughts on this

Another business venture i have discovered since signing up on this site is the drop shipping company through ebay... this looks interesting to me because 1. im in college and have very little money for start up, and 2. i have a limited supply of space to store inventory 3. I have sold stuff on ebay and have a basic knowledge of using ebay and feel like I was profitable when I used ebay before. Only worry I have with this getting caught in a scam, the company closing, and the low profit margins…if anyone has any good ideas please share
    thanks alot
    adam

I believe that the internet marketing idea is very strong. I believe that we understand our generation the best and that are the best marketing force for it. Secondly, the internet is starting to really become ingrained into our existence. Look at all the wifi networks, internet phones, etc. Internet and communications marketing has a great potential.

The industry you are preparing to step into is very rewarding, and even fun! Myspace and other similiar sites offer a great abundance of people from all facets of life, which provides a wonderfully diverse customer base for companies looking to advertising their products/services.

I have been working on a Marketing system tailored directly for Myspace, YouTube, Craigslist, and other online social networking resources. Throughout my time consulting, I have come across a number of companies that are in need of online and offline marketers, and I would be happy to refer you to them. PM me on here, or visit our Corporate Blog more information about these companies and a few other ventures that I've learned about within the last two years.

Thanks paul youve got a PM nice blog by the way! and yes i think with the vast number of people on myspace it is one of the most innovative forms of marketing that has the least traffic...i think a major reason why companies have not started advertising on myspace is because it is a niche tailored to our generation and many of the adults of today are not as familar to the social network marketing to advertise for young adults

    Something similar to Myspace

There is a Myspace for job seekers I read about in Business 2.0. It's Blue Chip Expert. It allows executive to review many job candidates based on profile criteria they have created. The profiles are created in a similar way someone would create a Myspace profile but in much more professional manner. (http://www.bluechipexpert.com)

    Welcome to YE

Welcome to YoungEntrepreneur.com aja656! Glad you found us!

I read your post and paul2145's response.

I do think there is a market for your ideas on helping individuals and small businesses gain exposure through building and maintaining their myspace (and other social networking) spaces.

In fact, we'd be interested in learning more about your service and helping YE build their own Myspace page.

We are open to hearing from all of you that are willing to help us with this.

    Thanks,

    Adam T.
