Lightbulb New Business Start Up - GettingLunch.com Feedback

I am looking for feedback in regards to a new concept with already heavy market as it relates to restaurants / markets. I have began an endevour named GettingLUnch.com. The concept is to provide active business men and women in busy downtown markets and avenue to find everything LUNCH..... This site will provide coupons, directions, reviews, etc similar to Yelp or other dining sites; however cater to the working business men and women. We look to place coupons on the restaurants link within GettingLunch.com to have or drive repeat customers as well as produce local coupon books to be dirtributed amongst business towers and downtown streets to drive business to the Restaurant and GettingLunch.com site. We also want to provide banner ad sites within the site for local retailers and or merchants to advertise within GettingLunch.com, as well as provide advertising space on participating restaurant menus and in bathroom stall locations. I am interested in hearing feedback to overall concept and our struggle with marketing, advertising and sales in getting new customers signed up including restaurants as well as local merchants and retailers?? Thank you in advance and I look forward to the responses.

    Chris

am I correct in understanding this. Your company hooks up with restaurants and provides delivery options for busy business peeps in tall buildings with your company getting a peice of the action?
    Have a great day.

GettingLunch.com will provide local restaurants in busy downtown business areas the access to have a site for busy downtown workers to find lunch. So customers will find local lunch eateries via GettingLunch.com and coupons for these restaurants as well.

So you are creating an interactive directory for working individuals to easily locate lunch options in their area?

If this is the case you will most likely be contacting the restuarants direclty. How do you plan on capitalising on the concept? You could post business's on your site for free and offer to upgrade their service.

I am working on a similar project in another market, let me know if I can help.

    Crysco,
Yes, you are correct. The site will charge a listing fee for the restaurants to advertise on the site to reach downtown workers. Their fee will include listing on the site as well as distribution to local coupon books distributed to local business towers and workers with coupons and links to drive people to GettingLunch.com Where I am having issues is selling of the service and getting restaurant owners to buy or purchase the service. There has been some interest but want to increase and scale it. Is this done via social media, or direct door to dor sales, cold calling etc..... I am at a loss to what will work best.

Maybe you could get a few places on board for free, to build the sites rep. I know I would be more likely to purchase a listing, if other companies were already on there.

    Best of Luck,
    MJ
