    Cool Years of Experience Helps!

Yes Taylor this is one area that I have YEARS of experience!

Remember what world renowned networker and my long time friend Bob Burg says: PEOPLE REALLY WANT TO HAVE YOU TALK TO THEM AS LONG AS IT IS ABOUT THEM! As a former CBS News investigative reporter it was my job to ASK about THEM!

Make sure and get Bob's book Endless Referrals and Google him!

Many towns have local small business networking meetings held every week, google "[Your city/town name here] small business network". I went to one a few weeks back helping my friends company make a presentation and it was very helpful, landing new contacts and potential sales for a 30 minute meeting. Dress business casual at the lest (formal if you have a suit) and speak clearly and confidently. Business cards will help as many people hand them out after or before the event.

Believe it or not, you can do tons of networking on Twitter. Social media tends to be more casual so you don't need much of an icebreaker.

Try your local chambers of commerce and also Toast Masters if you need help with public speaking or shy.
