    Need to raise £795

    Hey everyone,

I apologise if I have posted this under the wrong category, I am new to the forums.

I am looking to raise £795 to invest into developing a prototype of my new range of external hard drives. I am looking for innovative ways to do it; preferably ways that require minimum amount of monetary investment.

I would be really interested to hear any suggestions or advice you have.

    Thanks for all your help.

    Tom

    Hey Mega B,

Thanks for your reply. I am indeed from the UK, however to get as far as I have in the development of my new product I have already asked for money from family. I am also a University student currently and so have nothing to take a loan out against, otherwise I would do that.

    many thanks for your reply,

    Tom

Put together a solid business plan and get in contact with some of the organisations that provide grants and funding in the UK mate. The Prince's Trust is supposed to provide good support for startups for example, and I know that (at least here in the North East) that there are regional and local organisations that also provide funding (such as One North East).

If you look around you will find alterrnitive sources of funding such as Shell Livewire which runs competitions. Similarly, universities may run business competitions too; the University of Sunderland runs an annual business plan competition called Blueprint for example.

Feel free to PM if you want more tips or advice.
