Need sponsorship tips and advice.

Anyone here has sponsorship experience? I am considering starting a racing team and as well know racing and sponsorship goes hand in hand. Any tips would greatly be appreciated.

You just need to be ready to hit the pavement and hit up as many possible sponsors as possible. And when you do, be ready to sell the sponsors on two things: the cause, and how sponsorship benefits them. And I would tend to think that the benefits to the sponsor are more important to them than the cause. Think creatively, more so than just an add on your tee-shirt. Maybe include all of your sponsors in a thank you ad in the paper, or distribute promotional items for them. Good luck.

I used to find sponsors for myself when I was racing BMX. I did so mainly because I was winning.

What are you going to offer the sponsor?

Once that question is answered you can then have something to offer. After that do what jmenq2 said, hit the pavement.

I'm not asking you to meet up with me and help with this process. All I'm asking for is advice and tips....unless it is a sacred thing that you cannot reveal. lol.
