Need some information on freelance jobs!

Hi everyone, I have done training on web designing and have some skills in graphic design too. I had been thinking of joining a company but then I heard my colleagues talking about freelance jobs. I am not sure about this; they say it is good option. I had taken some information from them, but would like to know more about this.

This is now a popular thing these days, if you are skilled and can work independently, then working as a freelancer is a good option. In this way, you communicate with the other person who is in need of your skills to get their work done. You get to bid (quote your price) for the job and when the terms are decided you complete the project accordingly. You have to be very professional and should be willing to work as the project demands. my advice when you want to get online jobs :

3 things you have to prepare is : Portfolios, Portfolios and Portfolios.

You can easily get a freelance job if you can make your candidate buyer sure about your capability. Buyers don't want to hear "I can do this and that, I am expert of this and that, I am good designer etc...". Portfolios speaks thousand words for you.
If you are a fresher, don't worry about it. Portfolios must not done with last buyer. Create your own portfolios without spending time waiting your first project.

My friend's success story, he invested his time for 6-7 month to create a blog containing a review of wordpress and CSS. From this blog, people convinced about my friend's ability. Recently, job hunting is not necessary for him. Jobs are coming to him.
