    Need help with an idea?

I have all the equipment to do silkscreen tshirts. I print shirts for local businesses. I want to create a website to sell custom tshirts, but I have several ideas. I have made a website creative minds .com that focus on my own designs and I was going to get other designers under that site but to design their own style tshirt. I have tshirt ecommerce store where these designers can sell their shirts.
    That's was one idea.

The other was to create a regular tshirts site where people can just place order of their own tshirts. Probably design their own tshirt using clip arts...And etc. At a low cost price.

Also I need help with. Unique name... Don't know if to use bycreativeminds. Com or go with somehing else...

    Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Great idea. I would use your service. I think the name needs to be shorter though.

Perhaps set up a referral system where current customers get discounts if they introduce you to a friend otherwise how would I know about your services?

    Good luck!

Do you have a website right now for people who already have a design? How much do you charge for shirts?

We are actually developing a site now to cater this idea. We still havnt decided which way we are going. The site that we started to kind of build is bycreativeminds .com we want to charge a fairly price that's is reasonable for someone to start their own tshirts, I am thinking of building a market place for designers to place their tshirts for sale. Any ideas will help anybody?

I like both ideas of being able to design my own as well as having options of a designer doing it for me. The biggest concern is cost.

As for the name, I have no idea.

    Silk screen printing

Hey I'm actually about to go in business with a product that needs silk screen printing. I'm ordering everything from china right now, but I'd like to talk to you more about what kind of prices you can give me. If you're interested send me a message. Thanks

If I'm not mistaken creativeminds is already a domain name, so it's not really advisable to use bycreativeminds, because it's no longer unique, besides that is a very common keyword. I like your idea of putting a regular t-shirt site and let your customers design the shirt because you are co-creating with them and today, co-creation is already a business buzz.

Are you offering anything different or better than CafePress? You have some tough competition our here. I wish you the best of luck.

I've never bought anything through cafepress or anyones cafepress store, way to expensive. I can have shirts made locally (LA) for 1/10th of what they charge. However if I could sign up for something else and then get a free tshirt, I would use it..

I wish you the best of luck.. Remember, don't reinvent the wheel, just make it roll easier..

    Thanks ryan,
Well the first thing is to offer a better price. Big companies mark their product 50% or more. I will be doing it for less cheaper. Also will have a market place within the site if clients want to sell their shirts. We will take a percentage but will run the ecommerce site and market it. I have met a lot of graphics designers that wish to create their own small line or just primt teir work. But its to expensive for them going with other companies, they would have to print over 100 pcs. I am doing a min of 36. Eventually it will also turm into an artist driven community.

ya creative minds .com is actually a web development agency.

As for the two options, I am sorry I could not remember the exact name but I did see someone doing exactly your option #2 before. Although I am not sure whether they manufacture the t-shirts after being designed, that could be your niche.

A friend of mine opened the same business about 10 years ago. He does very well with screen prints and heat transfers online. He also makes a decent income from putting his best sellers on Ebay and other auction sites. You might want to look into that also.
I actually was the one who got his site a ton of traffic.... but that was way back when the web was simple.
