    Need help with $100 Challenge

    hey everyone,

My local youth group is raising money for a program we are running in the local schools, and we are running a $100 challege, where you are part of a team of 2 that has 1 month to turn $100 into as much as possible.

I got a few Ideas, but would like some feedback,as well as some more ideas.

    Idea 1:
Sell all our random junk on ebay...the rules don't state that we can't do this. This is free which allows us to do another project as well.

    Idea 2:
Multimedia postcards, we live on the Sunshine Coast in Australia, and were thinking of taking a video camera and laptop down to a beach, and offer to make video postcards recording them on DVD, for people to send to relatives instead of a normal postcard. we would charge approx $15, with $5 for copies, with them able to pick them up in 30min. (minimal setup cost, only need to buy DVD cases, and DVD's.)

    Idea 3:
Create an online raffle, putting up $50-100 and promoting it like crazy on the internet, hoping there are generous people on the internet, offering free ebooks or such as a bonus gift for their help. I was also thinking of making it an online, and offline raffle, and making the website compare how many are sold online compared to offline, using the ploy that "my partner didn't believe that I could sell raffle tickets online, and said he could sell 3 times more than I could" etc.

Well thats my ideas...what do you guys think....pick them all apart, and give me your ldeas...

    thanks
    Tom

Online raffels or lotteries are illeagle, here in the US and in Aussie
    Australian Interactive Gambling Act 2001

If your able to sell items on ebay, go for it, but it seems if the challenge is to use the $100, that may not be accordance to the rules. An extreme example: Say someone went out there and sold a product they created with the given budget, made $600, and someone else sold their used bmw from their parents. Profit, 22k ...

Now to the multimedia postcards: This has potential. You of course have to figure in the wait time (will people wait 30min?). I think you should expand on the concept; possibly offer custom print postcards as well, a twist on the instant photographers offerings at the tourist destinations. Think about what else can you offer tourists in the area. Use the project to possibly create a full fledge business for yourselves

    Are you able to reinvest?

    No Problem Tom,

I have a question... when you type "..." does this implie just a period, or a pause... ect, ect. Some buddies of mine do it all the time, and it irritates me to all lengths . I never really understand what they symbolis

Not sure what else resembling a raffel that you can work with online (or offline), but if I think of anything else I'll be sure to post. Keep me updated, intrested to see how this turns out.

i was using "..." in the quote sence...meaning as what i would write on my sales page, as if my friend had said it...

the other idea i was thinking is i know the pixel fad has died but something like that...trying to get people to donate...and offer a heap of free ebooks as a thankyou gift.
