    Need help naming my company.

    Hi,

I'm just starting up a website to sell trendy hand painted canvas's (pop art style).

My target audience is mainly students but also local business's and landlords who might want to furnish their real estate with a canvas or two.

So do you guys have any idea what I could call it? I was thinking 'Student Canvas's' but that might alienate local business's.

It doesn't have to have the word student or canvas in it but it needs to be appealing to young people.

Thanks, I look forward to your suggestions!

You might want to consider marketing to interior decorators & home staging specialists also. Some business people, especially realtors, rely on them to provide suggestions & samples. I think you also might get a better profit margin from them than for students.

Thanks for the suggestion dslack, ill look into that.

mtnjkwe, although I do want a trendy name I generally find that names with the word trendy in them aren't trendy at all. Thanks for the suggestions though.

    Keep them coming

How will you reach your target audience? Locally, or are you trying to get people on the website? I always like naming my business for what it does, using the target keywords in the name (if you're planning on getting most of your business online) as "branding" (depending on the size of the industry and competition) with a hip/trendy ambiguous name is too hard and costs to much money.
How do you become successful? Help others reach their dreams and goals.

ikjosh, I'm a university student, so I am going to put posters up though uni with the websites address on them so the students can look at designs online as well as a few other marketing ideas round uni.

I was thinking along them same lines as 'called it what it is' when I came up with "Student Canvas". As far as branding is concerned I can design a logo and posters myself once I figure out a name and the website will be from shopify.com then just personalised with my logo/colour scheme.

Keep the suggestions coming weather regarding a possible name or any other business advice.

    Thanks!
    Jamie

You may want to go to thesaurus.com to get more word ideas for the words you have in mind
