Need help!

Hey!

I have somewhat of a sales/legal question....

To put it in a simplistic way:

Let's say a pizza company did not have a certain size pizza because they were sold out, but they had an advertisement for itthat does not specify "while quantities last". Would they have to give you the next sized pizza for the same price as the sold out pizza... especially since they advertised it?

Thanks!

If I owned the pizza company, I would give them a more expensive pizza for that price. Gotta keep the customers happy.

An advertisement is no legal bind and doens't mean anything. It's just referring a product to the public.

Right. Except when you get into false advertising.. then it gets sketchy.

Yeah they have laws about making false claims, that isn't a false claim though. If you run out of pizza, your out. I think most of the advertising laws are concerned with presenting facts about yourself, and competitors. LIke claiming to have a 500 horsepower car when yours is only 350.

I'm kinda confused on what teh advertisement was about because you jsut said it didn't say "while supplies last".

It's actually about certain office supplies. But you answered my question. Thanks a lot!

Yay. but I think most of the ads say like "while supplies last" because if they run out, they dont want angry customers, and not realy anything legal. I'm no lawyer though, so don't quote me if I"m wrong.
