    need ebay advice... must read

    Hey Guys,

I just wanted to get your two cents about an item that I plan on selling on ebay. I have never bought nor sold on ebay, but I have visited the site off and on for the last year or so. Anyhow, I was recently on the market for a camera and decided to look for it on ebay. This particular model is being sold "USED" between $1500-2000 and retails on ebay at $2388 and elsewhere for 1500-3400. Well, I found another site selling the same camera "NEW" for $1000.

So, I was thinking about buying the $1000 camera and then selling it on ebay for $1500+ as a NEW camera... unused. I will be making a %40-50 profit!!! What do you all think? There is a 21-day return policy. So, if I cannot sell it on ebay in that time frame, I can return it with only losing money in shipping and the %5 restocking fee.

I welcome any advice you may have.

    Thanks,

    Celltech2000

First off, what's the site selling it for so cheap. I will almost guarantee you that you'll never receive a camera from them in the mail. Profit margins are slim on electronics, and to make that kind of profit is unheard of unless the camera "falls off the back of a truck"

Wow 1400 dollars difference new...Hmm something is not right I agree with Nick but not totally...
Do a background check over the internet for the company in question...I always do this before I buy anything online...If this company is a scam you will probably find out this way 9 times out of 10.

You know, goto yahoo or google and search the company name along with things like "ripped off or scam" next to it.......You can try a bunch of phrase combinations to find out a companies background and how long they been around and stuff.

If you cant find anything on them, thats bad too.

    Goodluck man!
