Hi Guys
I am sure many of you would have gone thro' similar situation in the past. Your thought is highly appreciated.
As my next career move, I intend to join a SME (175+ staffs, 8 yrs old, Private IT Company, no financial data available) in a senior leadership position. I wonder how do I go about structuring my compensation. Obviously, I need a basic pay. In addition to that, I would like to take up a CXO position, own equity (vested ?), and be part of the Board (maybe after 1-2 years?), In Exchange of 2 of my long standing customers (worth 35K USD per year), several 'high prospect' sales leads, Free Consutlting/Biz Dev hours until Dec 2009, less than market salary as basic pay. I'll want to go full-time starting 2010, btw.
The Company already has a board (3 members) and a CEO and CTO in Place.
Can you guys please advise as what are the core components of compensation that I should base my negotiation on ? What is the 'Best' and the 'Least' below which no use joining them ?
Thanks in advance !!
