Thumbs up Need Advice on Business Startup

    Hi All,

I would greatly appreciate any advice or ideas. I have taken the first step to becoming my own boss. I am opening my own Transmission/Auto Care center. My day consists of doing outside sales to local businesses and trying to generate lots of leads into my center. After that is done my manager that I hire has to try to close on my leads.

Three questions, What kind of businesses could I go out to and market my business. What kind of techniques could I use to generate lots of leads. Last question is how do I get my manager to close on the leads?

I also have a building with a high lease but my location is great on a main road and across the street from a Costco but my monthly rent is huge compare to others in the business. Is this ok? All I want is to break even my first yar. I would appreciate any of your thoughts.

    Best Regards,

    Robert

See if you can work on a referral basis with other business in the area. For example, if there is a body shop next to you, ask them to refer their customers who are in need of your services to you and you will do the same for them. Go out and network and establish a rapport. Referrals is one of the best ways to get business. If you provide great customer service to your customers, they will definitely refer you and then your business should increase from that as well.

Referrals can be worked with twofold:

First, engage with working a deal with referrals with other businesses linked to yours. Car accessory shops, bikers, gas stations. The like.

Second, you can call up your existing clients and cusytomers and ask that if they were satisfied with ypour service, maybe they can consciously recommend it to others.
