Need a Solution...Who's Got the Skills?

Hey guys, I have a challenge / question for you. I am looking for a solution to a problem and am drawing a blank. I have a few ideas but I need some fresh thinking. Ok, what would you do if you had a client that needed to delivered short, one line messages or "signals" to people instantly (no lag at all, must be seen and read in under 30 seconds from time it is sent). Needs to be scalable to deliver signals to up to 2000 people. Best if it is free. So again:

    1) Must be scalable to 2000 simultaneous deliveries
    2) Only needs to be about half the length of a Twitter post
    3) Must be instant, delivered and read in about 30 seconds
    4) Needs to be as cheap, free if possible

What would you guys do? I have a few ideas but I'd like to hear yours first. Thanks!

    Gregg

I have some questions first, is this advertising?, if so what is the medium (radio, tv, internet) or is it for internal business use, such as alerting entire company or subset of to changes in business or the market etc..

If reliability is also an issue, you may want to look at MQ. MQ was designed specifically for delivering electronic messages. https://mq.dev.java.net/

@Proph Not for advertising, the product itself is a series of short messages with stock market trading signals delivered as they are needed throughout the day.

@nonrate I'm not much of a developer but I'll take a look at MQ a little further when I have a sec tomorrow...looks interesting.

    Any other ideas? Thanks!
