My Website Marketplace Site - Need Opinions And Advice

A friend from Australia and I (U.S.) have been developing a website (www.buyestablishedwebsites.com) for the past month or so and plan on launching it on October 1st.

Our website is simply a marketplace for people to buy and sell websites similar to buysellwebsite.com and the same concept as http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace...p?categoryid=1

Our main goal is to be a central hub (buying, selling, information resource, advice) for people doing business in this industry.

The advantages we have over other sites is that we charge less and are more customer-driven than money-driven. We also allow people to post their sites for free unlike our main competition (above) and only take a nominal percentage of the sale price.

We plan on implementing an affiliate program a month or so after launching.

We plan on monetizing through featured listings and possibly text link ads and adsense and of course our small fee that is charged when the website sells.

We already have a great SEO base with almost 2000 backlinks according to dnscoop.net and for traffic plan on having blogs review our site, PPC, Text advertising, banner ads, expired domain redirects, press releases and a couple other things.

I realize the grammar, sentence structure and spelling isn't the best with what we have so far on the site but that will be corrected by launch.

Other then that do you have any suggestions, opinions, tips or advice on the potential our site has and how to improve our odds for success?

So let me get this right. Will you be the trade hub for turnkey affiliate business or websites that are already well established with money comming in?..I gotta say if your working on my second guess, thats not a bad idea. I have seen a few places doing this but not many are mainstream. There is a mainstream looking for this type of service all the time. You just have to market something like that the right way.

I didnt read all through the sites you mentioned, but at a glance, thats what I got out of them.

Yea, definitely established websites. People can simply come to our site and list their website for sale just like ebay.

Yes were definitely hoping to become the leader in this field and I feel we have the marketing genius to pull it off. Our greatest competition will be BuySellWebsite .com but it should be achievable given a couple months time to jump ahead of them.

Anyone else have any kind of comment or suggestion?
