My website idea, is it good? or is it bad?

It is basically a website that has short 10 minute videos were as the owner we screen. I think my niche at first is going to be cartoons. Only the best will be uploaded...Very Very high quality..what do you guys think. me and the creator will split the profits...this is less flash animation but actualy cartoons...is there another niche I can attack first...kind of like a better youtube but more watched and edited. If you click a show you know its funny or whatever...Also it is more like TV actually...with stories and characters...

Do you mean you will be creating the cartoons yourself or taking them from actual cartoons? - in which case you would have to pay for them!

People LOVE cartoons and I think you have a winner here! We are developing something along the same line with spy related videos that will be sent to us. We are involved with the James Bond people. You can go to SpyThrillerWorld Social Network to see what we are doing. We also will have a new site up at SpyThillerTV.com soon.

The only online cartoons and videos that are particularly successful on the web today are mostly due to a cult status. If you want success you need a way to get this cult following.

Dude, it sounds like you really need to figure out what YOU want to be doing not what is going to make you successful. The whole point of working for yourself is to follow your dreams and do what you are passionate about. This whole thread seems to be taking an idea that you were excited about and totally tearing it apart to make something...anything...work. Take a week, plan out your business a little bit better. THink about where the money will come from both to get started and then revenues once you are up and running. A weeks worth of planning would be very valuable for someone in your shoes.
