    My views on business.

    Hey,

Recently I've started a personal blog and it represents a lot of my views on business and what needs to change. I'm not advertising it whatsoever since I don't have ads on it, I just want people to read it and express your opinions. I think many will find it very useful.

    Thanks,

    Matt Privman

You're pretty sharp for a youngin. Just keep reading, learning, and evolving your train of thought. You have great punctuation for a 15yo.

Just a piece of advice: You say most people your age don't think for themselves. I used to think the same thing. Then I realized that most PEOPLE don't think for themselves, regardless of age. Keep your eyes open and keep being as objective as possible. You already seem to have a head start (all I cared about at age 15, was cars and street racing). Spend the next few years watching the world make its mistakes and advances, and learn from them.

Pretty good blog and I like the fact that you are brutally honest. The only dvice I can offer is to make sure you go back every once in a while and read your old posts. You'll be able to see how your thought process has proggressed over time and that can be a valuble insight.

I've been thinking about finally setting up my blog. I've been considering it for awhile now and never got around to it. How often do you update your content?

I try to post something new 1-2 times a week. Whenever I get an idea for a post, I just put a date as the title and save it as a draft and write it whenever I get around to it. Setting up a wordpress blog takes less than five minutes.

That's a pretty interesting blog to read. Oddly enough your blog kind of relates to something I feel a bit close to. Would you want to exchange blogrolls? You should add a blogroll anyways. =)

The concept of your blog or the fact that you're writing a blog isn't bad, it can be and is a good thing usually. I commend you in trying to spread your knowledge and opinion and I think its good that you have firm beliefs and are aiming towards your goals. However, upon briefing over the blog postings, I think its safe to assume that a lot of the opinions are base on what you think or base on research you've done (perhaps through books you've read) or a mentality you've formulated for yourself rather than base on actual experience. Not to be controversial purposely but I highly disagree with a lot of the blog posts you've written and I think some commentators have made some solid remarks on a couple posts you've written.

Fact is, the lack of experience is making it extremely difficult for you to actually write a quality post that reflects solid advice. Writing a post solely base on what seemingly makes sense can be dangerous because it can misinform readers, particularly those looking for validation on similar beliefs. For example, you've never actually been an employer so I think it's safe to assume that you're writing from the standpoint of a person who believes that's how hiring should be done when in fact it's quite different (even though hiring practices vary from company to company). It's probably safe to assume you haven't had a whole lot of experience on the opposite end either, being an employee or applying to several jobs, and coming from having been both an employee and an employer, the mentality on what you think an employer looks for versus what an employee thinks they should do are completely different. This varies from company to company as well but generally speaking, from observation of hiring practices I've seen over the years, I can't say I agree with any of your analysis (comparing multiple companies). I can however, see why you would think that way.

At the end of the day, keep up the good work and continue to blog, but I would advise you to put more in-depth thoughts into your opinions in making sure they represent valuable lessons and not just personal thoughts and opinions; not that there is anything wrong with that. And if they are simply opinions with no personal experience, make sure you justify so. Many blogs tend to have disclaimers in the post for this and it's always a welcomed knowledge from the reader's standpoint. You'd be surprise how different the business world really operates compare to how common some myths end up being. Good luck

Good advice Noob. I know my world has been one with almost no education, strictly experience. I believe a combination of both are invaluable. Steve

Hey, noob. Thanks for taking the time to write an actual thoughtful post.

Most of my opinions are based on what people (with experience) have experienced with a mixture of my own thoughts. These are my thoughts on how things should be run, and right now most businesses can be run much more efficiently with a little bit of thinking. What bothers me most is that business people are stuck to a mentality that they were taught in school or from reading a book and they don't realize that's not the only way to do things, you can have your own opinion too. And that's pretty much what I'm trying to portray in my blog.

Most of it is different from what people are used to and I'm proud of that.

Thanks for disagreeing with me, always prefer someone who presents a challenge rather than someone who agrees.

    Matt.
