What we will offer is Overnight shipping on all orders for 5.00 Thats cheaper than group shipping and is a hole lot cheaper than driving to the store. We will offer all products that you could find in any store you can goto, we will even ship meat products overnight also. We have a warehouse where we will be shipping our products from and a will be launching a state of the art website within a few months. We have taken surveys around our local area's and found that people would buy grocery over the internet if they can get it asap. We know we may take a little loss over shipping costs but we plan to make it up with the number of orders we will receive. We also we sell small electronic products maybe DVD's CD's and a few other products you may find at a grocery store. So what im asking for YE Members is to give me a little input and let me know what you think. Do you think this will work? Do you think it have a chance? So please let me know.
All I can say is MASS advertisement would be the key to success. People will pay for it, but you better have one hell of an ad campaign and a serious strategy to back it up. Best of luck to you... The community is here to help

This idea has been tried many times and it has been adopted by some of the grocery stores individually by having their own sites.

One of the main problems for this is the issue of fresh fruits/veggies and how buying blind is difficult for many people. Also you will lose the business of people that want to run out to the store for milk and end up buying what they need for a week.

Interesting,

I was before my time with concept back in the late 80's, tried it, but not enough people to make a profit, then tried again in the 90's, did better with the concept because we infused it with word of mouth network marketing, you may remember it as The Grocery Club. Did pretty well, but distribution and shipping were an issue, but now that gas is through the roof, I do believe you have a shot at success. I was capitalizing on the dual income family trends, convenience factor, so there is a niche out there, just look at some of the others who have succeeded, so good luck.

Regards, Mike
