    My internet service idea

Okay, While im thinking about things to work on over my summer break, i was looking for problems and ways to solve them.

The first problem i had was that small businesses do not have any CRM etc.

My idea, is to create we web service, which allows for small businesses to build customer databases, manage contacts and basically manage their small business online.

Another aspect, was integrating accounting and stock management into it.

    What do people think?

I know this would be a stupidly MASSIVE task for me to undertake and something which i believe may well be over my head, but as a startup, and entrepreneur, how would you feel about such a service and would you use it?

I think it would be handy, but what is the big benefit over a normal CRM and a laptop?

Ability to have it anywhere you want.

Im also thinking about a social part, where you can also have your business represented and allow it to find other businesses such as suppliers etc.

I get the social part, and I think that this could be a good idea, but I dont see a benefit in having a CRM web based.

Why would you use someone elses internet to access your CRM when you could take a laptop and access it anytime anywhere.

I think its more that, if you dont have it yet you can get it now.

Many small businesses do not have anything like this, like tradies etc. The idea would be that they can build a data base and not have to pay as much.

I really dont know if this would work, its just something i thought of this morning, as it was something i was looking for.

The idea i guess, is to manage a business using this service. It gives you all the tools you need, and you can generate reports all that stuff.

Okay, i dont think this idea is really that good.

    1. Its to large to manage, would need a massive cost of development and upkeep.
    2. Is there demand for it? I may have liked to see something but im me,
    3. Money, costs alot of $$$

I think you would have to pick a niche (eg tradies) and customize is strongly towards that market. That said, do tradies really want crm? What do they do at the moment? I would expect that it would have to be easy to access through a mobile phone somehow.

Yeah. Well thats right, my dads a tradie and what he does is fine for him.

I think the problem with this is that there are so many different ways businesses operate, that you cannot make a one fits all approach.

This is an awesome Idea and feasible. Although if you can have an intranet version it would be great. I, for one would buy this software from you.

    Thanks.
