MY PLAN: I plan on having a lot of content on my site. I want to go very in debth with each category and cover all topics. I want to make it fun and entertaining, easy to read, and search engine friendly. You probably wonder how I will make money, well within the sections I will make recommendations with my merchant affiliate programs.

ie.- When covering the topic of good books to read
ie.- When talking about portfolio's- portfolio management software
ie.- How to trade stocks- Share Builder or ameritrade
ie.- When suggesting a good newsletter and how helpful they are
ie.- When Researching a company- Valueline
ie.- When suggesting a good magazine- Forbes, Fortune, Money
ie.- Suggesting other good websites- Fool.com, thestreet.com

I will always be suggesting, i will never be selling. I will become the visitors friend by providing content, and within the content, providing suggestions. I have read that this is the way to do it.

I will be working extremely hard to make my site rank well in search engines.

I will also work hard to make a community out of my site, just like youthcove has done. I will have a message board, newsletter, poll, stock quotes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I appreciate you reading this, if you have actually made it all the way down here. Please offer suggestions. Nothing is set in stone so far. So anything and everything can be edited.

Look into Google Adsense, the Cost Per Click for your keywords will probably be high. This could be a major source of revenue once the site gets going.

Is this a business plan? or a site plan?

Anyway, business plan is always good. However, if there were no financial plans, you'll be driving your business blindly.

Financial plan first before making any other plans such as Market research, Human Resources, and etc...

Google is a good recomendation. I do some investing and there are not many sites out there that have a vast and great varity of information out there espically if somebody is just starting out. Yahoo and MSN both have huge finance sites but if you had a finance site like thiers but was geared towards everybody it would work.

Site Name

I read all of the names you were considering, and I think InvestWise is a very good name! I'm not an expert (which is exactly who you are trying to target), and I would definitely explore a site titled InvestWise.

Just my two cents!

HTH!

Do you know if any of the names you came up with have the TLD available (i.e. the .com domain name).

If so you better pick one quickly and register it straight away before someone else reads post and nabs the names.

I personally like Invest Right but would be suprised if the domain name wasn't already registered (i.e. www.investright.com)

Best of luck
