    My business idea

Ok... So I am from Romania and I want to open a shop in my city with shoes bought from eastbay.com .
But i am wondering if its possible because:
1 The price shoes from Eastbay or from other online shops are 70% cheaper than the shoes found in Romanian stores.
2 We already have shoe shops like Nike , Reebok , Adidas that are very expensive.

well your buying them at 70% cheaper then the prices they are retailing at this is called wholesale. Yiu buy prices at a lower price and sell t on for a profit at retail so you buy 70% off retail currently and then you add a % onot it but make sure you are lower then your competitors as you will quickly gain a decent market share as they are cheaper then the others maybe you sohlud do it like 10%-20% lower then the retail prices. Why should it matter if theres competition and if there a reasonable amount of it that means there is a decent profit for everyone so why sohuldn't you take a cut of it and make yourself some money.

You can sell it for whatever you want, unless there is some wierd law in Romania.

You shouldn't give him legal advice because A) your not an attorney and B) you don't live in his country.

Well I buy shoes for myself from Eastbay we group 10-20 persons and order shoes and pay as low as 7$ tax + shoe price . The tax is around 50-60 $ for i dont know how many shoes pairs. In Romania unbranded apparells are 90% of the market and with my idea I hope I will change this.

Sounds viable if the laws permit it.

No it's the Brand name that makes the price so big because Romania is not as other countries. For example the FIRST ADIDAS shop in my city opened 1 week ago. And we are in 2006. Nike and Reebok are in Romania for 4-5 years.

How would you do this bussiness with a partner or alone ?
P.S. : Sorry for my spelling hopefully you will understand me because im not native english speaker.

You'll need to obtain license to sell brand names in your store. Otherwise you'll be closed pretty fast if a control catches you.

You are also at the mercy of eastbay.. if your business is successful and you are ordering 300 pairs of shoes every day from them I think they will realize someone is cutting their cheese.. this could go either way, they could give you wholesale discount, or cut you off altogether..

Why don't you find out how eastbay is getting them so cheap and then cut out the middle man.. go direct to the supplier.

I guess you also have to think of stocking multiple sizes per brand, different variations etc..

It would be legal for you to sell it for whatever price, unless you get those shoes off a bootleg site.
