    Most Important Skills

I claim that the most important skills to succeed in life (not only business), is to be able to solve problems fast and efficently.

    Can you argue?

Your statement is vague enough that it can apply to anyone. You can identify any route to success as a "problem" that can be solved fast and efficiently.

The most important skill is dependant on the situation. Being fast and efficient may not be the best thing to do when the current situation may benefit more from a slower yet more thorough approach. Correct?

Anyways, I propose you be proactive in everything you do or rather create your own future under your own terms. Easier said than done.

I say to succeed in life and business you can't be afraid to take some risks and must be willing to take action and do something.

In my opinion most important skill is the ability use brain.
How far in the future and how many different aspects you can think of, is the key to any success.

I doubt it, skill is learned and talent is born with. For me personally I believe the most important skill is going on faith even when you don't see nothing happening and being positive at all time.

You need to solve the problem of getting to know the right people.
Hence, it's not who you know, it's what you know.

Then the greatest skill would be the ability to sell yourself to anyone.

The best skill for executive management is the ability to solve big problems that scare the crap out of most people.

I remember reading this quote somewhere: "CEOs are people who are paid big money to solve big problems".

You are not born with selling skills. You need to solve the problem of aquiring these skills. Hence, the greatest skill is problem solving.

No Dude, Thanks for your input.

I just like to argue. By the way, you are not born with problem solving skills, so you could argue that learning skills is the most important skill?

You could boil it down farther if you wanted and say striving for the best in school is the most important skill because it teaches you how to problem solve.
