Money in construction

Is there any money in construction? anybody know a major player in this field and how did they get into it what did they study etc just would like a lil more info cheers guys

There is definately money in construction. I know quite a few people in the power construction industry, so other types of construction may be different.

I think it really helps when you know people in the industry or who could use your services before starting, because starting out on your own without some lined up clients can be quite daunting.

I think the big money is in large scale consctruction, rather than building decks and adding aditions to houses (although this can be profitable too)

We do design on different types for construction (mostly power, phone, street light) and it pays incredibly well.
