What type of website do you have then people may be able to advice you ???The easiest is adsense but it depends on many things if it pays the best some niche sectors pay very well.
Clickbank is another popular one and is very easy to setup and selling advertising space on your site also brings in money. If you dont already have a site at this stage forget about adding forms of revenue as you mainly want to start getting visitors to your new site but that is the hardest bit in any online business venture.

First find out what your market is and get the site running. Traffic takes time and so does the money. Google adsense is a great easy way to start with for ads. Unless you are offering products, ads are the best way to bring in the money that I think you are talking about.

    Hi All:
I think the best way to obtain money from your Website is creating a good campaign with AdWords. You need to research some time, but it will give good results!

Honestly, There are SO MANY ways to create a web presence
on the Internet its insane. If I was you... I would start
following some big people in YouTube... and familarize
yourself with YouTube Marketing, as well as other Social
    Media avenues...

Because there is an IMMENSE amount of people hanging
out in these communities all day.

But theres no quick answer. Its a process, and experience
is the teacher. So get out there, find your favorite teachers,
listen to what they say RELIGIOUSLY, test out their advice
with YOUR ACTIONS...and determine from that which avenue
is best for you to go.

    Keep rocking buddy!

    Dear All,

    Thanks for all your suggestions.

The website is all about my city. My plan is to make the website 'A One Stop Shop' for the users to know everything about my city. Once they visit the site they should be able to get whatever they want. This is my objective. Now guide me in what way I have to work and what strategies I have to follow to achieve my objective.

    Awaiting to get suggestions.

Google translate says you mean... "Please do my work for me"

Just teasing... but better wording might have been... "What things would you suggest to help me do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!"

You can earn from Adsense and other affiliate marketing with your blog.. but the bottom line will always be traffic.. and not just any kind.. targeted traffic! So that's what you should research on...

i would strongly suggest you forget about earning in the first few months in starting your website, probably a blog if you want to say something related to your city. Once you have the traffic and regular reader, only start thinking on how to make money from the website.

As other readers in this post suggest, adsense is the best way to earn revenue from website, as well as affiliate program. But there is a lot of money making methods from website, you can also refer to this website for getting some advices (Make Money Blogging | Make Money Online | Make Money Blog Tips), some articles in earning money from blog.

don't buy and develop a website until you have strong plan for income generation... is it a niche website that will generate advertising sales... a you planning to run a review site and make money from referred sales... etc... there are endless possibilities which i can't even begin to cover in one small post... sit down and brainstorm what and how you will do it (product or service)... then figure out where the revenue avenues are and develop a solid plan so you don't stray from your goals (it's very easy to be sold something you don't want or need)
