Mobile Pizza Delivery Idea...

Here's an interesting idea about a man that got tired of waiting for a pizza delivery and decided that it would be more efficient to bake the pizza right in the delivery truck...

Pizza Delivery

Quite a good idea...

But what if the delivery van gets stuck in a traffic jam?!

Also my thoughts go to busineess on a big scale.

FOR EXAMPLE

1 pizza shop locally can make say 100 pizzas an hour

and can have 15 bikes delivering these pizzas

But 1 pizza van can only make so many pizzas and only deliver so many

A VERY LIMITED BUSINESS I THINK?!

I think a better idea..would be to have shop that makes the pizza but doesnt actually bake it. The customers can come pick it up or have it delivered...then they through it in their own oven.

Well, I think what roxbrand is getting at is the ingredients would be fresh. But, the only reason I order a pizza isn't because it taste so much better than a $15 frozen pizza, but because it's already prepared and ready to eat...

They already have that idea in my area, called u-bake pizza. they make the pizza, deliver or you pick it it up cold, and you bake it. I'm not sure how profitable it was because the local one closed, not sure why.

I've never seen that here. You can go into a pizzeria and order a pizza, but you can't go into a supermarket and ask for a (ready-made) pizza.

That's an interesting idea. It would be nice to order a pizza and shop while you're waiting. I don't know why they didn't come up with that before.

I don't think home oven can cook pizzas like the big ones at the stores do, the pizza would turn out different!

The best way to do that would be to franchise it. Sell people a franchise with the truck, the recipes, and a subscription to your ingredients, etc. Then you could have 40 trucks in one city doing it, all on one number, and you would be sitting at home collecting franchise fees going "Ha - they're in the hot truck, im rolling in money, all because it was my idea!"
Just a thought...
