STAY AWAY FROM THEM

I could put up links to groups of people that had their lives messed over by MLM's, gov't investigations, essays showing clear logic of why its not worth it, books about their cult-like tactics. But to save time i'm simply gonna say this:

REAL businesses are build on business plans, financial projections based on environment, and real numbers not brochure booklets. Any real experienced entrepreneur knows that. Think about how a VC or loan officer would act if you came to him to fund your business and you just showed a booklet and siss boom bah.

Oh by the way, they have a comeback for every objection you could possibly think of. So expect that.

MLM - good opportunity hidden by creeps

Not all MLMs are created equal. They range from some sleazy pyramid schemes and badly run programs to really good, sustainable companies.

You asked 'what do you do and why?'
I am a SiteSell affiliate. I work with this company because I use and love their flagship product, SiteBuildIt.

The company is stable and is growing steadily. They limit the number of affiliates so there are not too many sellers and not enough customers (no over saturation of the market). They give their affiliates great free resources for both online and offline promotions and the commissions are very high (one of the ebooks gives 100% commision). Their forums are a great resource for new ideas.

I chose MLM/affiliate programs because I want to be able to build my income while keeping my day job for a while. And working on the internet gives you the most flexible schedule you could ask for, and if you build it right, it will give you residual income.

Good luck,
Rebecca

ps-When I was choosing which MLM to work with, this free ebook was extremely helpful in showing me which criteria a good MLM needs to have and how to make the most from your MLM business. I hope it's useful to you too.
