    Millionaires, Entertainers, Athletes

We as entrepreneur, are all creative, energetic and passionate about what we do, but are we really happy with our work?

So many great and really stupid business or product ideas out there.

Also, how come, we, the entrepreneurs, are not so much revered and loved, and celebrated and worshiped like entertainers and sports athletes? Some schmuck comes out with a CD, one single song on it and a video, one music video, and then everybody cheers for him or her, but we too create some real cool products and businesses but we are looked down, less than the entertainers and sports athletes. What's the difference between them and us? Plus if our businesses are successful, we make more money than them anyway.

Also I am just wondering, if you are not already a millionaire, when do you think you will actually become one?

I'm shooting for 24 myself, but 23 is a much better age to be one.

I want to be a millionaire by 25... that gives me approx. 6 years which is ample time to get there... who know, and by age 35-40 I want to have a net worth of $50M --- that's my goal but as always, time will tell.

BTW... good topic. To me they are just regular people with a talent and great advertiser and marketers. Their nothing more, nothing less, although some of them like to begin their own ventures which illuminate some more then others.

Stupid article....stop trying to make yourself sound good.

Why should you be looked up to?

Do you have a good body? Do you look like Brad Pitt? Do you have a voice like Mariah? Can you spit like Eminem?...Ditto

    Your answers are there...

I personally believe that entertainers and athletes are famous because people don't want to watch an entrepreneur do their thing. Except Donald Trump with the Apprentice, if you want to call it that, but even then NBC is still considering the next season. (last i heard) Anyways, that is why they are more famous than entrepreneur, because they are entertaining. Like Paris Hilton, what a freaking' joke.

Anyways, I want to be a millionaire by the time I'm 25. That gives me seven years to do it. But like Young Spark said, only time will tell.

Do you want to be famous or be a business man / women.

"Entertainers" as you say- gain success and make money through entertaining people.

We do it by providing a service or product.

Essentially, we don't promote our selves or our personality to the general public.

Entertainers main job is to do so.

That is why entrepreneurs are not celebrity. Except the small handful.

There is no need for an entreprenuer to be famous. Becauase that is not in our job discription.

However that is extremely relavant to entertainers.

If you don't know the difference between an actor and president then we've got some issues.

    .....

Anyways, what kind of millionaire are you talking about?

    First things first.

So many kids make that mistake of dreaming of millions in the next 2 or 3 years and not enough about how they can make enough to full support yourself, with out.... lets say your mommy and daddy.... And think about the initial steps from making as much as the US national average wich is about $32,000 a year I beleive. Now I assume 95% of you don't make close to that, let alone pay taxes right? So after you surpass that, then lets talk money. Who makes 6 figures a year, and even then it will take you years to actually earn a million liquid.

So lets talk now, and how. Not When

Why don't we talk about the people who make enough money that can live with out there parents first. Then talk big numbers.
    With legit businesses.

I guess I'm kind of with Funk. I don't mean to "dog" the creator of this thread, but I think he just needs to think more about the reasons why he does what he has chosen to do in life. Entertainers don't get that way by chance, most of them have worked their entire life to do specifically that. Paris Hilton was mentioned, even she has worked (with her mom pushing her) her entire life to be who she is today.

If you want to be famous, then entrepreneurship probably isn't for you. Most people base their life off of their profession; when in fact you should be basing your profession off of what you want out of life.

Veras was alright on the entertainer/entrepreneur comparison but doesn't know anything about building wealth. Mark Twain once said that there are three types of liars, "Liars, Damn Liars, and Statistics." With the assumptions removed statistics means nothing. Virtually any individual can make $1MM liquid in one year. Apparently Veras knows little of macro assets (real estate, businesses, etc) that can yeild a many time a multiple of this so long as you have the knowledge and skills.

Hell, that's why I'm in vegas.

Your not very bright are you kid?

All you said is that anything is possible as long as someone has the means. No shit Shirlock.

What the important thing is, not many people actually have the knowlowge or skill and most importantly drive to make a million - of which you did not mention.

Again, your saying, If someone knows how to do something. Then it's possible. No Shit once again.

Why even write such a thing.

    Offer something of real knowledge.

    So with what you said,

So if virtually any one can become a millionaire, then why are there virtually no millionaires compared to the entire world?

Because NOT EVERYONE CAN become a millionaire. Even if they have the knowledge or the will.

That word and position would not be special if it where.

And by the way, statistics are not perfect, however it indeed is needed to assess pertinent information and logistics in real estate, business and life.

And your in Vegas, where wealth is NOT create but lost more than any other area in the world.

    Get a clue kiddo.

Lets not ask when you will become a millionaire... but more importantly how?

Any one can sit around and say I want to be millionaire by 23, 25, 21 etc......
Shit I want to be one now.... but fuck when its all about how.

Now on the subject why entrepreneurs are not famous results to no one gives a shit. You think I care about the creators of google? Nope. I love google, but that's what I love... google, their product not them. Believe my I have respect for them, but all I care about is their product.

Now Bill Gates is considered a celebrity no doubt. However, rare case for entrepreneurs to become famous... But it can happen.

Geesh no need to criticize the kid...I'm new to this forum and I am already turned off at how aggressive you acted towards him. Instead of chewing the kid out, just provide him the the correct knowledge so he doesn't go out spreading false information.

Anyways, I do agree with you. It takes much more than knowledge to be successful in any aspect of life, you have to want it. I am 19 years old, run three companies, one in which does over $12 million dollars of work a year. My key for being successful thus far is a simple quote "If you dream and believe, you create and succeed."

On another note, I think we as entrepreneurs are not idolized like our athlete and entertainment counterparts is because everyone sings in their spare time or has played some sort of sport. An entrepreneur is a specially type of person and not everybody strives to be one, most people who are have been since they were young.

Finally if you speak the most multimillionaires out there they did not reach that point by thinking to themselves, "I want to make millions" they made a plan, executed it, and kept building. Being successful in anything is a result of your hard work.
