    Merging SMS technology and buisness

Does anyone or has anyone giving any thought of working with SMS technology. I think it's going to be the next big thing as far as marketing and the way businesses advertise. It seems their are only a hand full of companies in US right now that offer SMS business integration, most other companies are over seas.

It already is the next big thing. I would suggest looking beyond SMS at this point.

Well.....it seems to definitally still be evolving, especially in the USA. I'm finishing up the final steps of a system where people will get paid to recieve text messages from advertisers. Their is a lot more details, but I don't want to give them out yet.

It may work. It's certainly not dead. But there are already so many players in SMS - even in the U.S. For something truly innovative, think ahead.

Well my idea is to market the idea of using SMS to remind customers\patients of appointments, discounts, coupons, reminders, etc...I was thinking places like Dr's offices, hair saloons, oil change facilities, etc...

I use SMS on one of my products. Most of my clients are entrepreneurs. They can't quite grasp the idea yet so I have to find a way to really explain what it is.

I agree with shaun.p.lawrence, It is use on Calendar, events, project management and etc.. for reminders.

I integrate gmail and sms for my personal use.

The next big thing is definitely mech warrior robots running through busy downtown streets, grabbing people and throwing them into the stores currently paying them for their services. Forceful marketing at it's best.
