What kinds of marketplace software do you guys use on your websites? I was doing a bit of research and I came across Shopping Cart Software by Volusion Ecommerce Solutions seems pretty good and its not to pricey. What software would you recommend?

    a

I will check out magenta, do you have a URL I put it in google and couldn't seem to find it. I'm looking for something with a simple but nice interface, low cost and ideally no commission fee per sale. Just trying to see my options. I just found a couple more a few mins ago that seem promising.

Look at free software first. There are a lot of free e commerce packages that will do what you want without costing your a fortune and the last thing any entrepreneur wants to do is spend money on something you could get for free. I built my own marketplace for my site ReRenewables.com using drupal and it was pretty easy.

    Ecommerce

Been doing some research and I think I've narrowed it down to two ecommerce products. I really liked both of these. So I think from here I will contiune to research and see what they can offer me.

    The two products are:

    1. Volusion

    2. Magento

Magento is more open source and I think it could fit my needs a little better. But Volusion doesn't seem like a bad choice either. Have any of you used these two products before?
