Hello Jb thanks for the reply, I will have ago at editing it, our current software has a few minor glitches which will not allow us to Edit the text colour for some stupid reason, also me and my partner have put Leaflets into Public Libraries, and Doctors, Not much response from locally but we have advertised on our competitors website and had around 20 people join from around the UK.

I will contact some bloggers, if I can find any and see if I can arrange something.

Do you have a personal email address so I can keep in Contact, I have a few other things in the process of setting up and would like to discuss a few things in private, my email address is: djansell@msn.com give me an email or post yours and ill contact you

    Thanks Alot

If your software allows, you may also want to add FaceBook connect integration so that it only takes about 2 seconds for people to sign up for a new account.

Also, understand that there are also a few very large motherhood sites out there.

The main thing that is going to help you out is going to where the mom conversation is. If it is in a "mom" forum, then start posting and interacting there. Find out where people are discussing your topic, and get involved there. If you offer good insight and conversation they will be sure to check out what you have going on.

Thanks for the reply, Ill be sure to see if it allows that, Yeah Im aware of that my partner is registered on them all and actively talks to different people and you know posts "would you use this site" and alot of people said its fantastic, but we just dont have enough members for new potiental members to become active on our site for some reason, we are going to contact the local paper and get advertised on the front page so hopefully will generate alot of sign ups

    HI David:

Find some Baby Products, and set up a store for them, on your site.

Do you have the "Coffee News", over there??

www dot coffeenewspaper dot com they are in 50 countries I think.

www dot TheNEW-HOOK-IT dot 8k dot com

    TheHOOK-IT at hotmail dot com

Please let me know what you think of the New HOOK-IT.

BTW: Works with BABY Bottles ALSO, no more, where did I put the Babys' Bottle.

When they go out for a walk, a Water Bottle in One HOOK-IT, the Baby's Bottle in another one.

You could try twitter as i think that could work well with your site and also set up a free amazon store as well they have a massive amount of baby products and once setup it then it runs on auto pilot.Another thing that could work very well is by using 'commision junction' as you could then promote some of the big brand names in the industry and then take the commision.

I certainly would add adsense and use clickbank products as people are always looking for books etc on how to look after children etc.

Try adding your site to specific directories and write a few articales and submit to http://ezinearticles.com/ that will give you some big exposure and then try adding yout site to Digg.com

Any more help you can PM me

You could try starting a Facebook fan page and advertising on Facebook.

Facebook allows you to attract a specific demographic, so you might be able to target it towards young mums or women who may be likely to have a child in the next few years (i.e. Newly Marrieds).

Give them a reason to join the website (i.e. to purchase things, for information and advice, for discussions ....)

    Hello again David,

I think your first port of call would be to design a market research survey and survey those of your current website members who are willing to do it. Find out where they go, what they do, who they are (ie the demographics of their family arrangement 'single mother,' 'married,' partner etc)? try to get as many responses as possible from relevant people to avoid confounding survey results. Then you can report to me and some of the other knowledgeable people on here what trends you have found and we can help you target niches and prevent you wasting time and money on advertising that is hit and miss. You've gotta know your market before you can put in place specific processes, which get results...

    Cheers,
    JB

You can also take note of these details involved in email marketing:

    * sending e-mails with the purpose of enhancing the relationship of a merchant with its current or previous customers and to encourage customer loyalty and repeat business,
    * sending e-mails with the purpose of acquiring new customers or convincing current customers to purchase something immediately,
    * adding advertisements to e-mails sent by other companies to their customers, and
    * sending e-mails over the Internet, as e-mail did and does exist outside the Internet

There are a TON of mom forums and blogs out there and moms love to talk about their kids. They also love to ask for advice (especially about newborns) and to see if they are parenting right. Find those forums and build up a community. Look and see what they need and provide them with the resources they are looking for.
