Marketing Firm startup, please help!

Hi All,

I am Nagesh and I am new to this forums, I feel very good seeing so many members here helping out each one. With the same regards I am here to seek help from you people.

I am planning to start my own marketing firm. I am planning to name this as "Anonymous to famous Labs".

Please help me out criticizing the name, if any.

first of all i like that you are starting a marketing company. I personally believe it will be marketing companies (outside of say collections) that will power through this economic period. Any marketing company that does well now will be a champion when stock prices and revenues start heading up again. On top of that some of the marketing and advertising companies that are out there now are terrible. Sit down and watch tv for an hour or look at the adds on some web pages, these people are either completely uncreative in grabbing attention and holding it or there are some dumb middle managers approving terrible ideas.

strait to your question though, the name does not sound like a marketing company. The "labs" part is giving me that feeling. when i read the name the first thing that came to my mind was a prototype R&D manufacturing company.

Yeah I agree. The "Lab" part throws me off. I think it sounds like a clothing or video game design firm. Another note, I don't think you should put your proposed name out there like that. Sorry to say but there are a lot of Shady people out there who will steal the name. I had a friend steal the name of a music marketing that I had already started.

I have a lot of exposure to the marketing sector and currently advise Hatch Media Hatch Media that does alternative advertising.

nice, thanks for all the replies, I will now start thinking process Anyways I also wish to mention here that I am capable of running a highly effective low cost marketing campaigns. If at all any body wants to get their companies rubbing shoulders with Google or Microsoft contact me, and no I am not being sarcastic, I know myself. If somebody is really passionate with their company, even without any marketing they can get there, but why take chance?? try me.
