Mall carts/kiosk

Was wondering if anyone has had experience with use of a kiosk or cart in a mall to sell and/or demonstrate products. Looks like it would be a good opportunity for a small business to sell products in the public without having to lease and renovate a store space, plus without need of a large inventory to start-up with. Being a full time student i was considering doing something like this on weekends. Advice, thoughts?

Thanks

We have these crazy gypsies running kiosks at the local malls here. They run you down and you are glad to pay them, it is like the "Shut the F*ck Up" Tax.

We have plenty of good stuff, too. Artists have shops where they will paint you, make caricatures, and sketches. Real estate agents have kiosks. There are kiosks for massages, especially those cool water massages.

I have been trying to come up with something new to do in a kiosk.

Fry's Electronics is my dream place. Why do you think people campout in line
before their sales.

I think it's a good idea and yo can practice selling things to others. I would do it and think it would be beneficial to a young businessman. In my area, most kiosks are phone companies like cingular and verizon. Other items, like I've seen flying saucers, mini waterfalls, wigs, mardi gras beads, collge campus paintings, license plate holders, you name it, being sold at kiosks. They usually seem to be very specific andin what they sell so I would try to keep taht in mind.Great foot traffic with low inventory does make it a good start too. While your at it, you could even put like gumball/candy machines in the mall if you would be working there.
