Making the most of your time.....

I'd be interested to learn how budding entrepreneurs make the most of their Business day, time saving, chopping out mundane tasks, make a to do list etc?

I think prioritizing and keeping a to-do list is extremely helpful in helping you manage your day. By allocating specific times to get certain tasks done you won't run into the problem of what should I be doing now. Included in your list should be time for reading your emails, as the habit of checking your emails throughout the day can clutter up your time-fill. However be sure that you don't schedule more than 65 percent of your time - about five hours out of every eight. This lets you fit in those unexpected events and delays that can otherwise wreck your schedule.

I think it's important to keep a list of priorities which will keep things that are most important to you in order. After that, one can easily place in order which tasks, research topics, business deals etc. need attention with emphasis on having an order of importance (most to least). Always be clear on your priorities and never let anyone or anything change that. Be firm and to the point.

    Good luck!

Thanks for all the tips, I find emails take up to much of my time and before I know it sometimes I've lost half a day, I'll be setting a schedule and to do list

    Read the 4HWW lol

Summary of solving your email problem: set an autoresponder saying you only check emails twice a day and to call you if it is an emergency, check your email twice a day and only at those two predetermined times.

    Best of luck

Have you read the four hour work week? I know there are lovers and haters of this book but it really does provide a lot of ideas for how to better manage your time and lessen time wasted tasks like email. I just got around to reading the book last month and thought it was great. The author actually suggests twice a day as a starting point then advises that you whittle down to checking only once a week!

If ever you consider having your own Virtual Private Assistant, check out this website.

    Good luck!

Many daily tasks are time consuming and require intelligent attention to detail. Increase productivity and income by allocating those tasks to a Virtual Private Assistant.

I hope there super 3D capable weave baskets! I personally think methods for organising time boils down to the individual it all depends on how that person operates and what works best for them.

But remember all work and no play isn't good for the mind or body.

Actually something I do would be applicable here. I focus a lot on prioritization, and I have my to-do list which I keep updated a few times a day. One thing I do focus a bit of my time on everyday is monitoring my employees time utilization and task prioritization. it is interesting how many things you can pick up on that they are doing that makes you almost drop your jaw. "you are seriously spending time on that when we need this done by this deadline??!" that's not necessarily the way to express it of course. I have identified opportunities to save the company a ton of time by doing this. SO maybe it's not just about being efficient as an individual, but also about keeping your company as a whole efficient and focused!
