Hi I'm just looking for advice on the difficulties of owning and operating a cafe. I have a pretty excellent opportunity if I can convince people to help me out financially (not what I'm hear for.)
I know hospitality can be a pretty grueling business and I'm just looking for advice on risks/whether its worthwhile. I am not yet 20 and it would be pretty amazing to build up a successful business and sell it in a few years. I may be young but I have 3 years exp in hospitality and retail, and have learnt much from my father at the business he runs. I have quite a few potential mentors as well. I understand there are a LOT of practicalities.
The cafe is already running, it isn't losing money but isn't yet making money either. However it has only been open ~5months and there's quite a few unexplored areas of revenue.
Is this a worthy consideration or a hopelessly naive dream?
