    making money from 'friends'

    hey guys
ok so im sure everyone on here is on facebook or myspace or both aswell as many other social networking sites. now as iv been slowly building my friends lists on these sites iv been thinking whats the best way to make money from these guys...

as the groups of friends and group members that i will set up is so diverse (old school friends, friends of friends, friends from sports, nightclubs) i was thinking of having a website that sells ebooks or books or clothes, that way it can cover all peoples interests.

does anyone have any other ideas that may be good to pitch to them, also is it better to set up website where all i am is an affiliate as i dont really want to be handling goods and dealing with orders and postage.

im thinking the ebooks idea is a good idea also but have no experience in this field and im not sure how much time it requires.

When you try to make money off of 'friends' they rarely stay friends. Are you talking about on line friends as in non-social acquaintances?

    Hey totters,

Marketing on FaceBook, I'd recommend a couple of things...

1 - Get a MySpace profile setup so you can duplicate your efforts on the two largest social sites.

2 - Have all adverts pointing to "landing", "squeeze" pages, or whatever you want to call it (this way the contact is yours to market to).

3 - Test the heck out of your process before you launch it on your profiles.

    4 - Use groups.

5 - Use lots of rich media.

6 - Get lots of friends!

    7 - Rinse & repeat on a new profile.

yeah i mean i started off with just friends on my friends list, but as time goes on you join groups add your own groups that other people join, this gives yu the opportunity to email in bulk a new product or service, so i just thought adding a site where i get commission for selling stuff like clothes or books might be worth having.

or if any one else has any good sugestions im all ears ...and eyes so to speak

well if you don't want to do sell some product that you don't know much about, myspace and facebook are great places to market a cash gifting program.

it is something that I am apart of and i am just building my myspace site for it. feel free to check it out. the cash gifting program that i am in is a phenomenal one and is having amazing success.

If you are building a friends list just to make money off of them, you are on facebook for the wrong reasons!

Look to build high quality relationships with people...THEN figure out a way you both can work together and benefit each other!

I am sick of seeing people thinking they can make money on facebook by adding a massive amount of friends...facebook is a "SOCIAL NETWORKING site" NOT a "SOCIAL NETWORKING TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF YOUR 'FRIENDS' SITE!!!!"
"Whether you think you can, or you think you can't either way you are right!"

naa, i have already spent to much of my valuable time catching up and finding out what they do for a living now - none of them are any use to me in a business capacity!!!
i have also remembered why i lost touch or didnt stay in touch with them when i left school aswell , so id rather just use them to help make me cash rich lmao

    Hello

Well, doing the social networks is a good thing. But do you have any experience on Internet Marketing?? If not, then you might have to do some research if you are trying to draw traffic to your site for free, or if you even are going to pay for your traffic, be careful, some will give you the world, but in the end, the traffic you paid for was bogus. There is a mix of Online marketing and Off line, which works really well. Keep digging for I am one of those just starting out as well in Internet Marketing.

well its something your friend should be interested. Ebay items, e-books or something that is appealing.
