I'm almost finished editing my book which I'm going to sell in print & ebook form. Do I have to register as a corporation to take an income or can I use my personal bank account? Also, do I have to register with the IRS?

This book is the only book I plan to sell in the near future. Also, if I profit money from advertising sales and my text messaging service, do I need to register these with the IRS too?

You are required to report Income Tax.
Also, if you sell within your state you are supposed to report Sales Tax.

You typically need to register with the IRS to conduct business, even as a sole proprietorship. You can fill out a form SS-4 to obtain a FEIN directly on the IRS website, they will send you the certificate within about 2-3 weeks. You will also likely need to register with the state in which you are conducting business in and their department of revenue to collect sales tax if applicable. These are questions that should be answered by a tax attorney though depending on your specific situation. You would still report the income as normal on your personal return. If you do not want to run this as a sole proprietorship, you have many other options for different business entities which will provide various protections and benefits.

It`s really a you should have registration to the IRS.,., and the best is to register as a sole editor, , a sole proprietor. . . then advertising is a part of business income. . . . all are subject to taxes. . This is quite a very good and unique business thus promoting your talents . . . .Lucky enough to have this. . . .
