Has anyone ever thought of creating iphone applications and selling them through the iphone app store with apple?

I heard the guy who created the Ifart application made like a 100K in a few weeks due to the popularity of the applicaiton. Also alot of developers have been creating really great applications and attaining residual and leveraged income.

I just started looking into this and began contacting developers. Also due to the demand of iphone app developers, most firms are now charging a premium to create apps.

There are apps for pretty much everything although most aren't generating alot of the cash. Only the really creative ones that add value are doing well.

Anyone else think about doing this?
