    Hi Beale,

Re-selling tickets is a very tough business and it is only getting tougher. A place like Ticketmaster has very strict policies about how many tickets you can buy and most people buying multiple sets of tickets have people working for them non-stop who are constantly going onto the site and entering the capcha's and trying to buy tickets. Here are the 3 main ways a lot of the big ticket brokers get tickets to sold out events.

-They own season tickets. The biggest brokers are investing thousands and thousands of dollars to have season tickets to the most popular sports teams.

-They buy tickets from a secondary market like Stubhub and get a discount due to the volume of tickets they move (large sellers program)

-They buy directly from the ticket originator like Ticketmaster

Check out a site like TicketNews if you want to learn a lot more about the industry. It is a very tough business with a lot of pitfalls and it is so competitive where the best have been doing it for so long it will be hard to break into. There is tons of risk involved as well. It is no way easy money.

In my very short lived blog, I interviewed a man that ran a ticket broker business. Here's the article. According to him, ticket brokers buy there tickets the same way most other people do.
