Maintenance in exhange for rights to advertise

    Hi,

At the moment my company is talking over a contract with a local council.
The contract will give us the rights to advertise in the underpasses, and allow us to put up hundreds of A1/A0 size adverts all over the city.
Although the system I propose in exchange for this, will mean that it is our responsibility to maintain the underpasses where the adverts are, to a certain extent. They will be prone to graffiti and vandalism, so we just have to clean up every day/other day. Also the council will have royalties of all sales revenue.
Before this deal can go through however, the council want to see somewhere that already has this system succesfully in place.
So..does anyone have a business doing this sort of thing, or know of a similiar system put in place that I can use as an example?

    Cheers,

If I were you, I'd choose one aspect of the biz and work w/ it- i.e. Maintenance or Advertising. Outsource the other aspect to someone else, even if it's just a friend. This will keep you from getting a Great deal of headaches in the future.

As far as examples, only thing that I can think of is Billboard advertising.

Thank you for the input. Yeah, delegation seems the logical way to go about it, and eventually it would be good to appoint people to manage both advertising and maintanance as I expand the business.
But initialy I just want to secure the deal before I start thinking about any management details.

A1/A0 is simply the size of the adverts, A4 is the standard size paper. A3 is twice the size of A4, A2 is twice the size of A3 etc.
