Arrow Mailing list of 25,000+ 18-25 y.o's - best way to monetize?

    Hi all,

I have a mailing list of 25,000+ 18 to 25 year old's left over from a previous business. I could easily grow this if I wanted. My question is, what would you do to monetize the list? It's split 50/50 male/female, and the list is made up of people located in Australia, almost all within capital cities.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Nick

If it is more than 3 months old it is useless. Statistics show that after 3 months most of the information has been affected by some type of change. That is why the reputable mailing list companies update their databases every 30-60 days.

Ok how exactly do you keep up your 25k mailing list. Do you contact them one by one, do you have spiders that room the web searching for updated contact info, do you pay for other mailing list to double check your list, or is there something else.

I can't tell you how much I disagree with this. The fact that its 25,000 potential college students, young businessmen/women, or rookies in life makes it extremely valuable to some people. Forget what detailed information is in the list, it still gives you a hard to comeby, YOUNG, target demographic.

As far as what you can use it for... thats a tough one. I know how I could use it for my business but only because it provides me with address' for my key age demo.

Find a "young" product to market or someone that has one.

Can you provide more information as to how you gathered all of these email addresses?

Is this a service which they have subscribed for or 'verified' their subscription (less chance of being flagged as spam)?

Have they just freely given you their email addresses? or is there a "Will not sell your emails to 3rd parties" clause?
