    Lower/middle class insurance perception

    Hello all,
I am trying to brainstorm some projects to bring to my SIFE (students in free enterprise) team's meeting to prepare for next semester. While contemplating some of my own person business ideas, I got the thought about insurance.

Do you think lower to middle class individuals/families have on average a strong grasp of how insurance works in regards to coverage, needs, and impact? The insurance types could range from housing, vehicle, business, etc. . .

I am a reasonably intelligent guy and I know when I am trying to read those descriptions of my insurance coverage for my home it makes my eyes cross after a while. I think their wording isn't geared well towards a population with a rough education level of high school graduate.

Do you think something like this could have merit in helping people in a community become more financially stable and independent?

    Thanks

I think you have massive potential there!

To get clients at first you can offer free seminars at the local town hall or chamber of commerce where the people can learn how to decipher these documents. This way you get promotion and you are giving value.

Best of luck and keep me posted this seems like a very interesting idea.
