Looking to open a Banana Republic or AB & Fitch overseas! HELP

I am backed by a very ritch investor who is looking into opening up a high end fashion store, we're looking into Banana Republic or Abercrombie & Fitch or even Express Studio.

I am overseas right now and i have been trying to get hold of the Corp. that owns these stores and been getting the run around, now provided that they do allow for business partners overseas, does anyone know how to buy a clothing store franchise?

i would love to hear your tips and ideas.

I do not believe these stores are franchises. To the best of my knowledge, they are all company owned. I doubt if they are looking for outside investors to own a particular store.

in relation to BR, the 2005 GAP Inc annual report states the following: Our strategic initiatives include new international franchise and distribution agreements to expand Gap and Banana Republic into markets in which we do not operate.

this probably means that GAP has a clerk in charge of franchisee relations...I gather that Mr Peck would tell you who that is
