Hmm, the uhaul trucks have like 200k miles, and ebay doesnt have much of a selection, also I probably wouldnt wanna buy a car w/o seeing it first. Is 200k a lot of miles for that kinda trucK?
I have just made a change of plans and I am quite excited. Im going to get a truck + trailor.![]()
I guess the next question, what do you need the truck and trailer for, starting a moving company?
Hmm, to move inventory to and fro different places. Basically I dont want to pay for freight from the airport to my place, when its only a 1 hour drive, also I may consider actually driving to some manufacturers to pickup product, not sure about this one yet. But, I feel its a good investment.
What kind of vehicle do you currently drive? If you have an SUV you will be able to tow a trailer atleast up to 5000 lbs. If you don't have one, pay someone to barrow their suv or truck when needed. You can get an 8'x16'x8' trailer for around $1200-$1500. Put your company logo on the side with decals and youll be set.
I am going to sell my car and get a truck, I was looking at 10x12 trailors. I havent seen 8x16x8, is that another common size?
In St. Louis where we bought ours they were because they are a good size for atv's, and mowers. We had to drive about 45 minutes out of St. Louis to a more rural area, but they were also much cheaper.
Your better off looking through craigslist ads.
such as Ryder, Penske, or Budget?
