Hey, I am looking for options on what to do. I have $40,000 that I am looking to invest or start a business. In the past, I thought that I knew what I would do if I had some money saved up but now I really don't know what to do. So, what would you do with $40k? I would defiantly like to have another income coming in.

I'm 30, MBA student, and working full time for the Department of Defence. I have a lot of management and budgeting experience. I also plan to start working on my CPA next year.

This is not an option. I am not looking for a tax write off. I am looking for another source of income. Or basically, to make my money work for me.

Seriously though, what do you see around you that can be improved, done better, faster, cheaper? You work for the DoD, Gov contracts can be very lucrative and at the rate of gov. growth it's a secure field! Do you do anything that gives you a leg up working with gov contracts? What are your passions? What is your free time like? What do you and yoru friends liek to do? What would you like to do?

I know, lots of questions, but it's hard to suggest without knowing you.

We are marketing company and we have ideas related to marketing business, and believe me you can earn lot more compare to other business. we will update you regularly but for now: how about printing business? just hire 1-2 sales person with you and use your current PR and take orders for visiting cards, leaflets, letterheads etc this is part time with low investment business. You can pass orders to us and we can make produce things and deliver to you directly and you can pass them to your client. 1 good order can make the difference. its a long term business and once you get 2-3 good regular orders thn you got ample time to start another business. Advise your opinion. thanks

When you think to open a small business yourself, it will become your full time job very quickly.
To get a partner it always is seeking the right match what kind of skills besides money you can put in to compliment the partner skills.
Maybe investment funds can handle your aving better but I doubt again...
