    Looking for my niche

Hello everyone, I am currently going to college and I am looking for a way to make some money. For the past year, I have been working on and off on a PPC/Adsense based website which hasn't really taken off anywhere. That type of buisness doesn't seem to work for me, mostly because of the article writing, which isn't my strong point.

I am very motivated and want to do anything possible to make a little spending money at least to begin with. I am looking for some type of business opportunity in which I can possibly sell a product but with nowhere to store inventory, no money to purchase it, and no wholesaler to buy it from, this doesn't seem to be a very logical route.

Finally, I have looked into drop-shipping but once again, I dont have a drop-shipper that I can sell the products and make enough for it to be worth selling.

Any help is appreciated, I am just looking for some good ideas.

Doing articles for websites requires intensive amount of learning curve. You need prior experience writing for sites before you can just waltz in and "make" money through it. Secondly, you also need marketing experience to do this, as well.

I'm very modest, so I say my writing isn't perfect, and a friend of mine does better than me, so he gives me advice on how to do it better. It helps matters more that I took each and every class of english courses in order to bolster my writing.

Marketing your website requires that you must know who you're writing your articles to. And you must place your site in the niche market your site is in. For example, I have a gaming website, recently, I've gotten a record-day visits and pageviews because I've posted a preview while the traffic is hot for the game's impending release.

God of War 3 is coming out in a week, so any article that is posted during this time is a very good time to write about the game. I got 1,700 views from the article alone. And in just 24/48 hours. Could've been higher if my site had more readers. How did I do this? I posted on two of my facebook accounts, my twitter, and a gaming news aggregator.

I think you have to reevaluate what you want to do. Think of what you love to do. What you would throw your whole heart into? When you fins this, ask yourself how can i bring value into the market place. Then take action steps each day towards your goal. Do what you love to do. For when you follow what you love wealth and success will come.

I would recommend using a niche finder tool like market samurai in your area of interest and start out. You can use the trial versiona to find out the niche, sub niches etc..

Hey I was just glancing around this site for the first time not knowing what to expect. I came across this thread and couldn't believe what I read, you described my business exactly. We are expanding like crazy and offer a business opportunity where you have no inventory to manage, and no wholesaler to buy from. We are able to plug into an amazing support system that takes care of all of that for us.

We are in the telecom and energy brokering business and are able to market break through technology before it hits critical mass. We are also able to save people money on the things they can not live without. This is no start up, in fact we are about to be featured on the Celebrity Apprentice in the spring of this year.

I would love to chat with you about what is going on globally and how you can capitalize on all of it. I look forward to hearing from you.

What do you enjoy doing the most? Are you creative? Do you like to work more with your hands? Can you picture yourself working at a desk for the rest of your life? Can you deal with carpal tunnel syndrome, eye strain, etc? If you're the type that can't be stuck to a desk most of the day, maybe an internet business isn't for you. You gotta do what you enjoy, figure that out first and then go from there. Otherwise you're going to be just as miserable as every other working stiff working for an employer.
