Looking for ideas to promote a local contractor/construction/homebuilder

    Hey guys,

I own land locally, and, plan on building a house soon. I have picked my contractor to build the house, and, we have entered into an agreement. He does not have a website, and, what we have agreed to is that I will do his marketing for him, and, whatever jobs he gets as a result of my marketing (not strictly limited to the website) he will pay me a commission on, and/or allow me to redeem that for a discount off of his price to build my house. He has actually told me that if I get him 10 new home constructions, he will build my house for free.

That being said, what are some free and low cost ideas that I can use to build his business?

I have VERY LITTLE wordpress knowledge, but, have put together a very rudimentary site (although, I would say it's non functional) that will eventually be a "one stop shop." On this site, I want to offer architecture/design services, provide financing options through a local bank, and, promote the homebuilding business.

    The website is dothanconstruction.com

Thanks for all advice and feedback.

    Jeremy

Register it to Googles local businesses, those are appearing in first when somebody searches by your local town/city name and in Google maps.
Find out local newspaper, community sites, etc and ask to put link there.
Then do a SEO (link building) where your local city/town name in the link anchor text
You need to have a contact form in your website. Otherwise nobody knows that it has been a customer referred by you.
