Looking for hand tool manufacturers

Hello,

I will be starting a wrench company and I am looking for wrench manufacturers; they can be overseas in India, China, Taiwan, etc --- I am not opposed to American manufacturing, but to be truthful, I'm definitely looking for cheap labor. I would like to have my tools made of chromium-vanadium alloy tool steels and drop-forged as well as chrome-plated to resist corrosion and ease cleaning.

I have tried alibaba.com but after coming upon this website, I saw that they had negative reviews. This thread is about hand tool manufacturers! Not clothing manufacturers!!!!

Anyone who has any leads in this area please reply.

Hey have you tried getting on alibaba.com or similar sites? They have manufacturers listed with reviews, opinions etc. as well. Many of them are located overseas which is what you are looking for. Good luck! Just keep in mind that you should have a lasting and working relationship with them. "It ends the way it starts" as one famous entrepreneur once said. So, start with a conversation and move from there is everything seems fine. GO FOR IT!

Try finding a sourcing agent in Hong Kong. You can find those on alibaba as well.
They charge about a 8-10% markup, but would be able to handle your project from conception to delivery. There are plenty of them out there so just do some quick searches and homework on those. Hope this helps!

For Indian manufacturers you can try indiamart.com and for Chinese manufacturers you can try globalsources.com

I have contact with a sourcing agent in China. Do you want to talk to them to see if they can do this for you?

That might be the right direction to go since most manufacturers in China don't have export licenses and they have to have an export agent eventually. That's why you don't see many manufacturers online.
