Question Looking For Components Of A Terms of Use/Privacy Policy Agreement

I'm just about done with a project I am working on. I am creating the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy Agreements.

I have a fair understanding and knowledge the minimum to include in these, but what I would really like is to find a sort of Instructional Outline on creating them or maybe some sort of "generator" where you simply plug in text and "presto", the generator puts it all together nicely.

Make sense?

these are legal documents

you can't defend against litigation anyway, or plan to sue anyone

therefore, just rip the terms off a similar site

other than that, if this project is serious, get legit legal advice

at any rate, you can't "generate" legal documents. they have to be custom made

Lightbulb

LOL... Agreed.

I've actually been reviewing a few sites that I visit frequently, some smaller sites and the "big wigs". I've basically "tailored" bits and pieces and created my own "homemade" terms for now.

For now, it is a small project and don't plan on dropping any cash for some lawyer to type up a 2 paragraph statement and charge me an arm and a leg.

Maybe when my project begins to grow, I'll fork out the money to get quality legal advice. Hmm... speaking about legal advice...

I just read a post about Pre-Paid Legal. This may a good time to test their services... lol.

Thanks Akula.

PS: Forgot to provide reference to my project. It's still a "work in progress", but to summarize, it's a Classifieds site, similar to Craigslist, but for the Military Community.

BUSINESS DESCRIPTION: Basically, instead of searching by "City", you search by "Military Base". Of course, it's completely empty at the moment since I haven't announced the url to anyone, but when I'm done, I intend on advertising in a few Military newspapers such as Military Times and a few base papers. Of course, online, as well. This should make for an interesting project and hopefully generate a nice flow of passive income. Not much, but a little is better than nothing. Besides, it's more the experience of it all that excites me.

REVENUE MODEL: The site will be setup to offer the ability to post classified ads(minus personals) at no charge. However, for added features like bolding your title or "Top of Page", visitors will pay between $1-$5, depending on added features.

As the site gains popularity, I intend on adding additional features.

That's about it.
